MARQUETTE,Mich. (WZMQ) – Police in Marquette are searching for a man swept off black rocks into Lake Superior Thursday afternoon.
Witnesses say the man was pulled south by rough waters at Presque Isle Park.
Poor lake conditions prevented an immediate water search, but efforts will resume when it’s safe.
Authorities urge the public to avoid the lake during severe weather due to sudden dangerous changes.
Multiple agencies, including the Coast Guard, are assisting in the search.
