WZMQ 19 is the Michigan Upper Peninsula’s home for CBS and MeTV.

Over-the-air viewers can enjoy additional programming on the station’s subchannels including Heroes & Icons (19.3), Court TV (19.4), Start TV (19.5) and ION (19.7).

The station first signed on the air in early 2003 with FOX programming and held a number of affiliations over the years. WZMQ added MeTV in 2011.

Lilly Broadcasting acquired the station in late 2017 and added weather forecasts and updates from Washington, D.C.

WZMQ became the U.P.’s CBS affiliate in January 2022. At that time, it also launched news broadcasts.

The station started producing local news from its downtown Marquette studio Oct. 3, 2022.

A. Yes. WZMQ purchased and renovated a building at 142 W. Washington in Marquette in 2022 with a completely new studio to present local news and weather. Our staff lives and works here and are committed to the community.

We are creating a fresh approach to news coverage but with some familiar faces who know and love the U.P. 19 News is primarily focused on positive local developments, issues of interest and importance. A. Both. WZMQ CBS can be seen over the air on channel 19.2. WZMQ provides MeTV classic television programs on channel 19.1. Cable and satellite providers use different channel positions on their systems where WZMQ CBS and MeTV are carried.
