MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A 70-year-old Marquette man has been arrested on misdemeanor and felony charges stemming from an indecent exposure incident.
On August 12, witnesses at the beach on Lakeshore Boulevard near Pine Street said they saw Gordon David Quinnell fondling himself nearby. Quinnell left before the Marquette Police Department could arrive, but he was positively identified with thanks to tips provided on social media.
Police contacted Quinnell, and further investigation resulted in his arrest for aggravated indecent exposure. The case was referred to the Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office for review of an additional charge related to a prior conviction regarding a similar offense.
Quinnell is charged with one high-court misdemeanor – aggravated indecent exposure, and one felony count of indecent exposure by a sexually delinquent person. The felony charge is punishable by up to life in prison. Quinnell pled not guilty, and his bond was set at $350 total for all counts.
