MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – On the afternoon of Monday, August 3, the City of Marquette published a press release stating that officials are aware of telecommunication disruptions.
The release states that some residents may be experiencing intermittent issues with placing phone calls to City offices. Regional network disruptions affecting major telecommunications providers, including AT&T and Verizon, are currently impacting portions of the area as a result of recent storms.
City officials state that the outages are related to issues with the telecommunications networks and are outside the control of the City of Marquette. Restoration timelines have not been provided at this time
