GOGEBIC COUNTY, Mich. (WZMQ) – UPDATE: On the morning of July 6, the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office announced that the missing juvenile had been located in Wisconsin.

Police in Gogebic County are asking the public for help in locating a missing juvenile.
On the evening of July 5, the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office announced via Facebook that the Michigan State Police (MSP) Wakefield Post is searching for 15-year-old Melody Rose Leanne Jiyres. Melody was last seen at her Ironwood home at roughly 5:30 a.m. on July 4. She is described as follows:
– Height: 5 feet 4 inches
– Weight: 160 pounds
– Hair: brown
– Eyes: brown
– Additional Features: wearing glasses and red braces; a small mole located on the right side of her chin
– Clothing: unknown at the time of disappearance
There is concern that Melody may be traveling to Reedsburg, Wisconsin. However, police say she currently has no money, transportation, or resources, which may affect her ability to reach or remain in that area.
