GOGEBIC COUNTY, Mich (WZMQ) – On Thursday, April 20, the Emergency Manager of Gogebic County confirmed at least 17 homes in Wakefield Township were without running water due to floodwaters.
Michigan’s Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy were on site, assessing the damages as freezing rain caused power outages throughout the county. Bottled water was being handed out to members of the community in need at City hall.
Marquette Emergency Management along with the National Weather Service has been monitoring the river levels.
