ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – Escanaba’s Players De Noc theatre group premiers its newest youth production this weekend.
Circus Olympus is the story of a group of kids who perform plays about Greek mythology in their backyard.
The cast is comprised of students ages 10 – 16 from schools throughout Delta County. Director Kris Hovland says they are all dedicated to putting on an entertaining show.
“It’s high energy, so there’s a lot of action,” Hovland said. “The stories are fun; it’s a funny show. We wanted a literature-based show, and using Greek mythology is something the kids love. It’s good for the whole family, so everybody will love it when they come see it!”
Circus Olympus will be performed at the Bonifas Theater. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. on April 21-22, 27-29. There will be a matinee performance at 1:30 p.m. on April 23.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the door. To purchase tickets in advance, click here.
