NEGAUNEE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The City of Negaunee is implementing a list of regulations for food trucks in its downtown district.
The city’s new Food Truck Program launched earlier in June, designed to provide more guidance to its local and regional vendors. The program is set out for city streets and properties, and will not be applied to sponsored events or festivals such as Heikki Lunta or Fall Fest.
City Manager Nate Heffron says the program is only in its trial run this year, but that vendors will have access to a list of available areas and hours of operation, size and site regulations, and operational fees.
“We want to make sure we have a better gameplan in place so everyone’s on the same page, in the best interest of the community” he said.
