HARVEY, Mich. (WZMQ) – This year, a new chapter has begun for the nearly century-old U.P. business, Pike Distributors Inc.
The company’s Marquette-based location has officially unveiled its new facility in Harvey, moving from Negaunee. Staff members of Pike layed the grounds for the facility themselves in early 2025, completing that operation this spring.
The company says the more central location cuts travel time through US-41 in Marquette, with now more direct access towards it’s southern and central hubs in Gladstone and Newberry.
“This Harvey location logistically made a lot more sense for us. We were having a lot of problems getting through all the roundabouts and traffic on 41, and obviously that’s grown up a lot in the last few years,” explained President Jack Ketvirtis. “I think it’s also really important to stress our continued support of the community, and we plan on being here for a long time.”
The company will celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2027.
