ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Escanaba Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is giving artists a chance to share their work with the public this summer.
Every Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., the DDA is hosting the Escanaba Pop-UP Market at the Downtown Marketplace. Artisans and crafters of all varieties sell handmade jewelry, artwork, photography, pottery, wellness products, and other one-of-a-kind finds. This year’s market also features live music from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
It is an opportunity for longtime artists to reach new customers and for newcomers to experience selling at a market for the first time.
“We can be ourselves and bring our notions and what we like, and we can present them,” said Lorraine Zawacki of Lady Z’s. “We can get ideas of what other people want and what’s going to sell for us, and get out with the public in the community and just make it a good time all the way around. I’d like to thank the DDA for the opportunity to give the vendors and the people something a little bit different.”
The Escanaba Pop-UP Market will continue through August 27. For more information, click here.
