ISHPEMING, Mich, (WZMQ) – Tiny Turtles daycare held its ribbon cutting today.
The at home daycare run by a mother of two was able to open with the support of Lake Superior Community Partnership’s (LSCP) SPARK Childcare program.
The SPARK program educated potential daycares on how to run a business and helps them obtain the required licenses.
The daycare owner Ashley Jarvi says she wanted to fill a need in the community.
“Every kid’s different,” said Jarvi, “and sometimes they do good at a center, sometimes they do good with a nanny, and I just want to make sure I provide the good quality care and all that fun stuff.
Tiny Turtles currently has five children registered and hopes to take more in the future.
