HANCOCK, Mich. (WZMQ) – In the Copper Country this summer the community can catch some live music along the Portage Canal. The city of Hancock is hosting live bands for the “Canal Rock Summer Concert” series happening from July 7th through the 28th. Local live bands are performing right on the Portage Canal at Porvoo Park.

Organizers comment it’s just an event to bring your lawn chair and relax while listing to live music from some of the favorite local bands. “Kick back enjoy the end of your week get your weekend started off on the right track decompress from the work week. It’s just beautiful we’ve been so lucky. All summer long every Friday evening has been exactly like this,” commented Hancock Outreach manager Todd Gast.

Next week Friday is called “Key Ingredients” with 14 different musical acts all along Quincy Street.
