ISHPEMING, MI (WZMQ) – Amid all the cancellations from weather this weekend, one race will still be taking place.
The Polar Roll, a fat tire bike race hosted by the 906 adventure team, will still be rolling this weekend in Ishpeming. The snowshoe races are also still on the schedule for Saturday. Trail groomers have already started preparing the tracks for the 15 and 30 mile races taking place this weekend. Todd Poquette, The Polar Rolls event director said “the event for us has always been a way to turn winter into a positive, and to overcome the elements that winter presents. and this weekend will be like every other one, there’s gonna be some hoops to jump through and hurdles to overcome.”
Registration is full for this weekends events but The Adventure Team still encourages anyone interested to come and watch the races starting this Saturday at 8 AM.
