GLADSTONE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The City of Gladstone has chosen its newest manager.
Former manager Eric Buckman retired at the end of last year. In January, Water Treatment Superintendent Rob Spreitzer took on the role of interim manager.
On Monday, the Gladstone City Commission approved a one-year contract with Spreitzer, officially making him City manager. The decision followed a six-month review of Spreitzer’s time as interim manager, which one Commission member described as “glowing.” According to the City’s website, Spreitzer has been employed with the City since 1995, giving him just over 30 years of experience with Gladstone’s needs and goals.
With Spreitzer leaving the Water Department, the lead operator is taking over as water treatment superintendent.
