ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – This weekend, Escanaba’s Daily Press is bringing the U.P. Ice Fishing & Hunting Expo back to the U.P. State Fairgrounds.
The 5th annual expo will run from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 6, and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, November 7. More than 50 vendors will set up shop in the Ruth Butler building with the latest outdoor gear, including hunting blinds, fishing rods and lures, and ice augers. There will also be a craft show on site, so organizers say the expo will offer something for everyone.
“What better than to have a U.P. ice fishing, hunting, and craft show in the great U.P.?” said Daily Press Publisher’s Assistant Jessica Koth. “You have Bay de Noc, great for fishing. This community is very passionate about fishing and hunting.”
The only cost to attend is a monetary donation for the Delta Animal Shelter or canned goods for local food pantries. Click here to see some of the vendors at this year’s expo.
