IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WZMQ) – Oktoberfest returns to Iron Mountain for its 12th annual celebration this Saturday, September 26.
From 12 p.m. until 9 p.m. (CST) at the downtown stage, guests can enjoy a lineup of live polka music, German food and drinks, and Oktoberfest beer. Activities for the family will also include bounce houses, a Mister and Miss Oktoberfest pageant, and an expanded stein-holding competition.
After previous high popularity and aligning events this weekend, the Iron Mountain Downtown Development Authority hopes to see plenty of foot traffic.
“Last year, we saw record attendance, and this year we expect it to be even higher as Run Iron Mountain is on the same day,” explained DDA Event Coordinator, Katherine DeMars. “We expect a lot of participants to stay in town and make a whole day out of it.”
Admission for the event is $10 per person, but children 12 and under enter for free. Anyone also participating in Run IM that day will receive $5 off admission. More details can be found at downtownironmountain.com.
