GLADSTONE, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Wednesday, the Delta Conservation District celebrated 75 years of community service.
For the district’s annual meeting, staff hosted a celebration at Saunders Point Brewing in Gladstone. Attendees met with representatives from the district’s partner organizations, voted for the newest Delta Conservation District Board members, and learned about the important work the district has done throughout the past year.
“This community is such a great community to work in, and we’ve got such great natural resources,” said Delta Conservation District Manager Stephen Benoit. “We’re here to help protect those natural resources from invasive species, working with local landowners to help rebuild our forests, farmers so that we can keep good soil in the area. It’s been great.”
Saunders Point Brewing teamed up with Lavender Co. to brew a special honey lavender wheat beer exclusively for the celebration.
