Northern Michigan University officially began move in weekend on campus with classes about to begin. August 20 marked the first day of move in for non-summer housing students.
With approximately 3,000 beds on campus, university staff have been preparing since August 1 for all the new faces stepping on campus for the first time.
NMU is expecting a smaller freshman class compared to past years, though its no small feat to make sure everyone is welcomed like a Wildcat.
“We’re super excited to welcome all of our new students and returning students,” said Assistant Director of NMU Housing Operations Anica Chesnut. “We’re happy to have everyone, and we’re looking forward to our next academic year.”
The first official day of classes for NMU is Monday, August 24.
