MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Drivers in Marquette County can expect road work on U.S. 41 starting next week.
The Michigan Department of Transportation is investing about 900-thousand dollars to mill and resurface three-and-a-half miles of u-s 41, from the Alger County line to Marquette County Road 456, near Maple Grove.
Work is set to begin Thursday, August 20th, and continue through October 30th.
Drivers should expect one lane of alternating traffic controlled by traffic regulators.
MDOT says the project will extend the life of the roadway and improve safety for motorists.
