FORSYTH TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZMQ) – A Marquette man has died following a crash in Forsyth Township on Thursday.
At approximately 4:24 p.m., the Forsyth Township Police and other Marquette County first responders were dispatched to the area of 5th Street and Avenue B for a crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger car.
The operator of the motorcycle, a 76-year-old Marquette man, was transported to UPHS – Marquette, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police are not releasing the man’s name at this time, as the accident remains under investigation.
The Forsyth Township Police Department was assisted by Forsyth Township EMS & Fire, UP Health System Marquette EMS, the Michigan State Police, the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, the Michigan State Police Accident Investigation Team, and Heavy Hooker Towing.
