MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Downtown Marquette’s Wednesday Night Market brought hundreds out to West Washington Street this evening.
The Downtown Marquette Farmers Market, the largest in the Upper Peninsula, runs Wednesday evening through August, filling the block with locally grown produce, baked goods, handcrafted jewelry, art and more.
Among the vendors this evening was Kate Burie, selling handcrafted plant-based skincare made right here in the U.P. “I make plant-based skin care and body care, so not only taking care of our largest organ – our skin, but also body care that uses herbs and oils to help benefit your body systems,” says Burie. “I grow and I forage and I source herbs and essential oils and put that together so people can use natural products on their skin.
The Wednesday Night Market runs through August from five-to-eight PM on the 100 block of West Washington Street.
