MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Hot summer temperatures have caused the temporary closure of a Marquette facility.
Due to the heat, the Baraga Gym inside City Hall closed at 10 a.m. on Monday. A public service announcement states, “The safety and well-being of our community, staff, and visitors are our top priority. The intense indoor heat creates an unsafe environment.”
At this time, no information has been provided as to whether the gym will reopen Tuesday morning. Those with questions can contact the Community Services Department at 906-228-0460.
