ISHPEMING, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library is hosting its annual holiday book sale this weekend.
Beginning Friday in the community room, the library is offering a sale on a large variety of used books, Friends of the Library merchandise, and other media forms, with special deals into Saturday.
Books are priced at $1 for each paperback and $2 for each hardcover. The sale only accepts cash and checks, with all funds going directly back into the library.
Marilyn Andrew, a friend of the library says these events are always a big hit with the community during this time of year.
“We’ve had just a ton of people this morning, people have been taking boxes and bags full of books, but we still have many left,” she said. “It’s a good time of year to shop at the library.”
The sale will continue Saturday, December 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a 50% sale from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and a bag sale in the afternoon.
