CHASSELL, Mich. (WZMQ) – Certain Wednesday Meals on Wheels offerings have been canceled due to weather conditions in Chassell.
Copper Shores Community Health Foundation stated, “For the safety of our seniors and delivery staff, Meals on Wheels home deliveries in Chassell and the Meet & Eat site at the Chassell Fire Hall are canceled today, Wednesday, July 23, 2025, due to heavy rain.”
Seniors in Chassell who typically receive deliveries are advised to utilize their emergency meal bags. Staff members are reaching out to seniors directly to ensure to check in on them and to ensure they receive this information.
All other Meals on Wheels routes and Meet & Eat locations are unaffected and will proceed as scheduled. Anyone with questions or in need of assistance is encouraged to call 1 (906) 483-1155.
