ISHPEMING, Mich. (WZMQ) – An Ishpeming man has taken a plea agreement in connection with allegedly viewing child pornography online.
In July, 57-year-old Timothy Paul Romback was arrested on ten counts of child sexually abusive activity – aggravated and ten counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Michigan State Police learned Romback was viewing files of child sexually abusive material on the internet. Digital evidence was seized during a search of his home, and he was taken into custody.
According to Marquette County Prosecuting Attorney Jenna Nelson, Romback entered guilty pleas to three felony counts of aggravated child sexually abusive activity last week. The counts are punishable by up to 25 years in prison. Nelson says all other charges against Romback will be dismissed. His sentencing is yet to be scheduled.
