MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – last night the Marquette Regional History Center held one of its most popular fundraising events at Kaufman Auditorium last week.
Legends and lore part two is the creation of local historians Jack Deo and Jim Koski.
You may have heard of him.
“People have started to realize that the city has changed dramatically four or five different times in the hundred and seventy-six years since it was founded. And if we can tell some of the stories and let people know what Marquette was like two or three generations ago, then I guess we’re doing our job,” said Koski.
A slideshow included images from Deo’s vast collection of historical photos.
The event sold out quickly, with over 800 fans of history in attendance.
All proceeds from last night’s show will go to maintaining the history center.
