The Negaunee Downtown Development Authority is gearing up for its annual holiday extravaganza… and you aren’t going to want to miss out!
Mark your calendars for this Saturday, because Tinseltown 2024 is taking over downtown Negaunee! From 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Negaunee will transform into a winter wonderland filled with festive fun for the whole family!
Main events include the Christmas Parade at 6:30 PM, featuring festive floats and cheerful marchers lighting up the streets. Head to the Elks for pictures and letters with Santa and shop unique gifts at the Tinseltown Christmas Bizarre. Hop on a cozy tractor hayride for a festive tour of downtown or enjoy a ride on a miniature pony. Enjoy live music and caroling at the bandshell, plus, warm up with delicious s’mores by Campfire Coffee, making this event a magical evening for all!
Many of Negaunee’s downtown businesses will also be running their own holiday specials, so make sure to stop in and discover something new.

- The 21st Annual Celebrity Art Auction takes place Thursday, benefiting the Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum. The viewing begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the auction at 7:00 p.m. Enjoy unique works of art created by some of the community’s most unexpected artists. - This Friday from 8:00 to 10:00 all ladies are invited to Women in Entrepreneurship: Coffee and Conversation at Knot Work Studios, located at SOMA Studio in Marquette. This event offers a casual opportunity for women in the community to connect and converse. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, professional, student, or simply driven to grow and connect, all are welcome.
- Also Friday, The Downtown Marquette Holiday Parade and City Tree Lighting will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Bundle up with friends and family to watch illuminated floats, tinsel-strewn trucks, and colorful carolers transform Third Street into a North Pole-inspired wonderland. The Marquette Post Office will also be collecting letters during the parade, so be sure to bring the little ones and their Christmas wish lists for Santa.
- The 4th Annual Christmas Market at the Westwood Mall is this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Featuring over 50 local artisans and vendors, it’s the perfect place to shop for unique gifts. Bring the kids to meet both Santa and the Grinch, and enjoy delightful coffee, cocoa, and lunch onsite.
- Also Saturday, join the Lucid Fyre Bellators for a family-friendly, holiday-themed fire performance at the Marquette Commons from 8:00 to 8:30 p.m. Don’t miss this spectacular finale to your weekend festivities.
