MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A new bank location in Marquette offered an open house Friday to celebrate it’s service expansions.
First Bank Upper Michigan’s upgraded facility opened in July, after close to a decade of preparations for the move. The new building includes two floors, one for commercial banking, and another for investment management.
“With Marquette being such a large community, we felt it was necessary to have a facility that provided all the services that were needed here,” said President and CEO Todd Maki.
Tours were given at the open house, with plenty of door prizes for its members and business partners. Maki says the long-awaited project is expected to keep it’s strong footing right here in the U.P.
“We’re one of the premiere banks in the Upper Peninsula and we’re going to continue to build upon that,” he said. “We have a great up and coming staff that we’ve developed and we’d expect First Bank to be around for another 125 years.”
The new building is located at 2065 US-41.
