MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Friday was the first day of the Winter Outback Art Fair at lakeview arena in Marquette.
The fair featured 20 local vendors selling everything from wood carvings to knit sweaters to photography.
The Outback Art Fair is over 30 years old and the organizer Cindy Engle said the close knit community of artists is what has kept it going for so long.
“We feel like it’s family more than just a business type thing,” said Engle. “Especially with the regular Outback, I have people that have been with me 25, 27 years. They’re like aunts and cousins that you get to see once a year.”
The outback continues at Lakeview Arena tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
