HOUGHTON, Mich. (WZMQ) – A Houghton man facing a first degree murder charge waived his arraignment in Houghton County Circuit Court, entering a not guilty plea.
On Monday, Sept. 30, 60-year-old Evan Dixon stood mute on the charges of homicide- 1st degree premeditated murder and felony firearms. Dixon is accused of fatally shooting 53-year-old Theron Duncan in the Douglass House Saloon in Houghton last November.
Dixon’s next court date is Nov. 1 for a scheduling conference in Houghton County Circuit Court.
