On What’s UP with Megan, we are walking to raise awareness and make a difference in Alzheimer’s.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is gearing up for an impactful weekend at Ellwood A. Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette. The event will kick off with registration at 9:00 a.m., followed by the Opening Ceremony at 10:00 a.m. The walk will commence immediately after the ceremony.
All are welcome and encouraged to participate in the walk, though you must register. While there is no registration fee, participants are encouraged to donate. All funds raised through the Walk to End Alzheimer’s will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting care, research, and advocacy efforts for Alzheimer’s disease.
Every registered participant will receive a Promise Garden flower, which symbolizes their personal connection to Alzheimer’s: Blue: For those living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia, Purple: For individuals who have lost someone to the disease, Yellow: For those currently supporting or caring for someone with Alzheimer’s and Orange: For supporters of the cause.
Join the Alzheimer’s Association this weekend to make a meaningful difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s. Your participation and support help advance crucial research and provide essential care for those affected by this challenging disease.
