Elle Jay Aesthetic Studio brings state-of-the-art wellness to Manistique

MANISTIQUE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A new Downtown Manistique business is bringing state-of-the-art beauty and wellness to the Upper Peninsula.

Business owner Laura Everhart and her team have been hard at work putting the finishing touches on Elle Jay Aesthetic Studio.

“It seems like since COVID, people have really been searching for ways to feel better,” Everhart said. “We just really want to help people feel their best, not just on the outside, but on the inside. This is an alternative to improving our overall well-being, mental health. There are some clinical benefits to it as well, but when you feel good about yourself it helps.”

Elle Jay Aesthetic Studio offers a range of salon and medspa services.

“The salon has pretty much anything you can think of in the beauty industry,” said Everhart. “Pedicures, manicures, hair treatments, lash and brow, massage therapy.”

Medspa services include anti-aging and clinical laser treatments, microneedling, filler, and a hair restoration treatment that is the first of its kind in the U.P.

“We have super exciting technology called the TED, which actually helps regrow hair back for men and women,” Everhart explained. “A lot of people suffer from that. Even though it wasn’t really what I was going to start with, it’s such a great thing that we had to bring it on.”

Elle Jay Aesthetic Studio will host a medspa grand opening on Wednesday, September 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. The event will feature cocktails, specials, tours of the facility, and a look at the studio’s cutting-edge consultation technology.

“It’s AI that will read the surface of your skin and down to deeper levels and helps identify the issues you might be concerned with and helps us pick which services will be best for you,” said Everhart.

Everhart, who has a medical background, has been working with the salon manager to create Elle Jay Aesthetic Studio for more than two years. Each room in the studio has a unique name and color scheme, including Dee’s Room. Dee’s Room is painted purple and named in honor of Everhart’s mother, who recently passed away.

“My mom is a major part of this, and this endeavor has helped me through the healing process,” said Everhart. “It’s helped my family and brought us all closer together. I need to thank them and my mother from above. She’s been pushing us all.”

Everhart says she wants Elle Jay Aesthetic Studio to be a safe and rejuvenating place for everyone who walks through the door.

“We don’t have places like this in the U.P.,” she said. “It’s pretty fancy in here, but we’ve designed it for everybody. Yoopers can have great skin; men can have great skin. We want to give them a little bit of fancy but realize that this is a very comfortable place to come and they are all very welcome.”

Elle Jay Aesthetic Studio is located at 241 South Cedar Street. Services are available by appointment and can be booked by calling (906) 553-4888 or by clicking here.
