IRON COUNTY, Mich. – A Michigan Department of Natural Resources-managed boating access site, which sits on Fortune Lake in Bewabic State Park, Iron County, will close Monday, Sept. 16, through Friday, Sept. 20, for work that includes asphalt sealcoating and restriping.
This is the only public boat launch on the Fortune Lake chain of lakes.
The $10,000 project is supported through the Michigan State Waterways Fund, a restricted fund derived primarily from the collection of boat registration fees, state marine fuel tax and user fees for the acquisition, development and management of public recreational boating facilities.
