MARQUETTE, Mich. – A planned electrical outage will cause the signal at the US-41/Washington Street intersection in Marquette to go dark on Monday evening. The outage is planned to begin at 6 p.m. Monday, July 8, and is expected to last up to two hours.
The Marquette Board of Light and Power will be performing work requiring the power to be cut.
In the absence of uniformed police officers directing traffic at a dark traffic signal, the public is reminded to treat it as an all-way stop.
MDOT urges motorists to use caution when approaching the intersection.
