FELCH, Mich. – With a detour available, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Forest Resources Division will close a section of White Post Road north of Felch beginning May 23.
The road closure is for replacement of a bridge over Skunk Creek situated about a quarter mile east of Norway Lake Road (Dickinson County Road 581).
The project is expected to cost $290,238, with the demolition and reconstruction work being completed by Wuebben Construction of Hancock. Construction sign posting and materials delivery will take place at the site a couple weeks prior to start of the project.
During the road closure, traffic will be rerouted over Lantz Road to the Norway Lake Truck Trail to reach White Post Road.
The project is expected to be completed in mid-August, with the road due to be reopened Aug. 16.
