CALUMET, Mich. (WZMQ) – A man and woman from Houghton County are facing drug charges after an investigation in Calumet.
On Thursday, April 4, the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) executed a search warrant at a home in Calumet. A 37-year-old Calumet man and a 34-year-old Lake Linden woman were arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine.
Detectives seized about 6.5 ounces of crystal meth, $6,851 cash, and evidence related to the distribution of meth.
Detectives also saw blasting caps, and the MSP Bomb Squad was requested to safely remove the devices.
Both suspects were lodged in the Houghton County Jail.
UPSET was assisted by the Houghton County Sheriff’s Department, the MSP Calumet Post, the MSP K-9 unit and the MSP Bomb Squad.
