Next Thursday, the Friends of Peter White Public Library will be having its semi-annual used book sale.
The sale includes thousands of books, movies, CDs, and even some artwork, and all proceeds will go towards supporting the library.
The Library’s Development Director Heather Steltenpohl said the book sale has a big impact on the library’s budget.
“We could not provide the number of programs that we have, the quality of programs that we have,” said Steltenpohl, “our collections would not be as extensive without Friends’ support. Last year The Friends raised over $50,000 from their used book sales and the store.”
The sale begins on Thursday evening at five with a presale that has a five-dollar entry fee, then a sale during the library’s regular hours on Friday, and a bag sale on Saturday to wrap things up.
