MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office is looking for witnesses to a hit-and-run crash just south of the Marquette Mountain ski hill Monday afternoon.
MCSO says it happened on M-553 in the passing lanes south of the ski hill around 4:30 p.m. Monday, March 4.
A 63-year-old Gwinn woman in a dark gray Buick Encore was driving southbound on M-553 when she attempted to pass a silver car of unknown make and model. The woman said the silver car swerved and hit the driver’s side of her car, causing it to lose control and hit a guard rail.
The driver of the silver car continued traveling southbound on M-553 and has not been identified.
