ICE SAFETY GUIDE – please stay off the “ice” right now.
The majority of our U.P. waterways’ ice thickness is not even close to 4-inches (typically safe for ice fishing).
The combination of little snowfall & unseasonably warm temperatures will likely continue into the first week of February – not ideal for ice fishing conditions.
