MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Friday, the Lake Superior Community Partnership held its 3rd quarterly breakfast meeting at the Hampton Inn, the theme being Breakfast and Business.
The Lake Superior Community Partnership brought the Michigan Business Network to present its Future Michigan Business Index. The FMBI is where the network measures how businesses have done in the past 6 months and how they expect the businesses in the Marquette area to look in the upcoming 6 months.
The discussion went over what Michigan Business Network expects businesses in the Marquette area to look like as well as factors that can affect the outlook, for instance how this year is an election year.
“Here it’s kinda like hold tight, we don’t expect a lot out of sales in the future we don’t expect a lot out of profit in the future but we don’t expect the back slide as well,” Chris Holmen, Michigan Business Network CEO.
Lake Superior Community Partnership’s next quarterly meeting is Friday, October 25th, for more information on future events go to the Lake Superior Community Partnership webpage.
