MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum is expanding its “design-osaurus”, building more displays for kids to enjoy.
Partnering with Range Bank, the UPCM will be adding Piggy-bank-osaurus to the playroom upstairs in the Museum. Building off of the kids’ creativity, “design-osaurus” is the word for how the entire museum was put together in the first place. From the intestine playground to the flushable toilet slide, the piggy bank idea is the next step in bringing the community outside into the museum.
“We’re trying to make the inside look like the outside the things that the kids see every day. Kids will come through and help go to range bank and help design the exhibit and what they’d like to see and then work with one of our exhibit builders to build out an exhibit to be what they want to see and what they want to play with which is exciting,” commented UPCM’s Director Jessica Hanley.
The UPCM also is hosting the culinary journey sharing a variety of dishes from around the world.
