NEGAUNEE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Negaunee transformed into a Christmas themed Tinsel Town over the weekend.
Floats from local businesses and organizations took over the streets of downtown Negaunee to welcome Santa to the city. The holiday celebration included tractor drawn carriage rides and special tastings and festivities from local businesses
According to one business that participated in the event, spreading Christmas spirit is just a way to show appreciation for the community.
“This is my first time doing the parade, so all of it is pretty excited, I think the joy that its gonna bring when we pass out the candy, pass out the glow sticks, and seeing all of the floats [is my favorite part],” remarked Sarah Wackerle who was with the Honors Credit Union.
The city says the parade was a success and thanks participants for helping to get Negaunee into the holiday spirit.
