ISHPEMING, Mich, (WZMQ) – Today in Ishpeming Michigan, the Negaunee Male Chorus had their dress rehearsal for their annual Christmas Concert at Ishpeming High School.
The group has been performing for 93 years and has no plans of stopping anytime soon.
The Negaunee male Chorus will be joined by local children who are volunteering to perform in the holiday show.
The Negaunee Male Chorus Governor Jon Bessolo said he hopes singing with the youth will help keep them interested in choir as they get older.
“I think if we can have a strong relationship with the young kids,” said Bessolo, “maybe we will get some of those kids to come and sing with us when they get our age.”
The concert is this Saturday at the Peterson Auditorium of Ishpeming High School.
Tickets will be on sale at the door for $12, kids 17 and under with an adult get in for free.
