MOHAWK, Mich. (WZMQ) – One man has died as a result of a single car rollover crash on US-41 in Mohawk early Tuesday morning.
At approximately 2:10 am, Deputies from the Keweenaw Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to investigate the personal injury rollover crash with entrapment.
Investigators said that the vehicle driven by a 50-year-old Mohawk man was northbound when the vehicle lost control, crossed the centerline, and rolled into an unoccupied residence.
The driver was transported to UP Health Systems Portage, where he later died from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by MSP-Calumet, Houghton County Sheriff’s Office, Allouez Township Fire and First Responders, and Calumet Township Fire.
