GWINN, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Marquette County animal shelter UPAWS is hosting an event aiming to give the shelter puppies, a forever home. UPAWS is waiving adoption fees for their Labor of Love event for all dogs in celebration of Labor Day. The event runs from Thursday, August 31st to Sunday, September 3rd.
All adoptions will include spaying or neutering, the pet vaccinations, and a microchip. UPAWS is asking those interested to make appointments ahead of time for all adoptions to ensure a personalized experience.
“It’s well known that I’m a cat lady and I love my cats so much but I love the dogs too I love the bunnies I love come and find yourself a furry friend,” commented UPAWS Communications Coordinator Ann Brownell.
“There will be 14-15 available dogs for our Labor of Love adoption weekend event, check out all the dogs, I will have bios out tonight come and find yourself a furry friend,” said Brownell.
