CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to be on the lookout for a man wanted for allegedly cutting his electronic monitoring device.
Jesse Churchill, 36 of Sault Ste Marie, has three separate felony cases against him in Chippewa County courts, including charges of delivery of methamphetamine, conspiracy to the deliver meth, delivery of suboxone, resisting and obstructing police, and conspiring to furnish contraband to prisoners.
Churchill was released on a personal recognizance bond on the condition he wear an electronic monitoring device (tether).
Authorities believe Churchill removed his tether on August 6 and is now on the run. There is now an active felony warrant for Churchill for interfering with the tether.
