ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – Escanaba’s Municipal Marina hosted its annual Marina Fest on Saturday.
The event featured a lineup of local bands, an open mic opportunity, food vendors, cornhole, and free-to-play pinball machines.
According to Harbormaster Shayne Sanville, Marina Fest is the perfect opportunity for Delta County residents to enjoy the Municipal Marina, which he says is often overlooked.
“Not a lot of people frequent the harbor,” said Sanville. “They’re more focused on the park, so to get different people in to kind of see the harbor and all the hard work that goes into it, it’s nice to get people down here and enjoy it. It’s really one of the more beautiful places in the city we have.”
In the future, Sanville would like to begin hosting more events at the Municipal Marina.
