MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – In a few weeks, Marquette-Alger RESA will host the first U.P. Wellness Task Force meeting of the school year, and is reaching out for more community input.
On September 22 from 8:30 a.m. until noon, anyone interested in making a difference in student support is welcome to join the district’s 3rd year of ongoing efforts. The Superior Health Foundation sponsored session will include discussions on stronger mental healthcare for its students, and many other similar projects as part of its 90-day-plan models.
“Even if you haven’t been part of a group before, you can still come and hear about what’s being worked on in the community,” said MARESA Director of Mental Health Services, Dr. Jen Krzewina. “You can hear about different initiatives and projects that people are passionate about, which also offers collaborative opportunities.”
These are open to the public, but registration is required. A light breakfast and lunch will also be provided. To sign up for free, visit maresa.org.
