MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Local food made its way to Mattson Lower Harbor Park, Sunday through Tuesday for the 41st annual International Food Festival.
The Marquette County Exchange Club has been taking over the Lower Harbor with the annual Food Festival. All net proceeds are donated to nonprofits around the area and in the past years of food fest, over 1 million dollars in has been given back to the community.
From Polish-style brats to ice cream nachos local vendors say the food fest is a unique opportunity for the community to try all different kinds of food and local music while in the heart of Marquette.
“Well food fest you know what’s nice to hear a variety of different music last night we had some local artists and it was kind of neat to get a Yooper spin on some traditional music that they were doing. You gotta admit that the location is perfect for the fireworks too and so you can’t get a better spot than this,” commented ‘Sweet N Salty’ Owner Avery Smith.
The food fest will continue through Tuesday evening, Noon until 10:30 PM. Click here to see more details on the vendors and live performances that will be at the Food Festival.
