MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) -The Marquette Symphony Orchestra had the last indoor concert of the 2022-2023 season. The group performed 3 selections for their concert at The Kaufman Auditorium alongside musicians from Northern Michigan University and The Marquette Choral Society.
With summer around the corner, the symphony orchestra is getting ready for their outdoor concert. The Concert Master, Janis Peterson, says she’s excited for the three summer string concerts this year and their outdoor concert in July…
“It really is an amazing process,” Said Peterson, “we have all these musicians who work so hard, most everybody has a day job but they find the time to learn the music and we get together just for a week to rehearse and then put on a concert.”
The Marquette Symphony Orchestra’s outdoor concert has been scheduled for July 8th at the Presque Isle Park Bandshell.
